Based on a true story and starring award-winning actress Isabelle Huppert (Amour, Dead Man Down). Thérèse Bourgoine is a French volunteer humanitarian-social worker for an NGO on the island of Palawan, Philippines. While transporting supplies to the NGO, Thérèse, her fellow volunteers and a group of tourists are kidnapped by the extremist Muslim "Abu Sayyaf Group". The group finds refuge in Mindanao and the chase by the Filipino army begins.
