Laura, Frank, and Nathan were strangers living in San Francisco until they had one thing in common – jury duty. All three of them were selected to serve on the panel for one of the city’s most high profile cases: Evan Barber, an infamous serial killer known as the Midnight Murderer. The jury ultimately found Evan guilty and he was executed. A short time later, Laura finds herself stunned by a news story reporting that Nathan has been found dead. While the authorities are quick to dismiss Nathan’s death as a suicide, Laura is suspicious. When Frank also turns up dead, the coincidence is too great to ignore. As she frantically researches her colleagues’ final days, she gets the feeling that someone, or something is following her.
