Mirroring some of Hitchcock's own cinematic classics, this real-life tale of obsession chronicles the director's grooming of Hedren into a leading lady and prototypical 'Hitchcock blonde'--and his growing passion for her personally--as they filmed 'The Birds' in 1963 and 'Marnie' in 1964. Toby Jones and Sienna Miller star as Hitchcock and Hedren whose careers and lives both suffered as a result. Imelda Staunton co-stars as Hitchcock's wife Alma; also with Carl Beukes and Penelope Wilton. Directed by Julian Jarrold; screenplay by Gwyneth Hughes, based on the book 'Spellbound by Beauty' by Donald Spoto.
